The FTO provides safe, quality care to ill or injured patients in pre-hospital or inter-hospital settings. Operates and maintains PTN vehicles in safe and ready condition. Serves as an instructor and evaluator of assigned staff during field and classroom activities. Function as a role model, demonstrate leadership skills and an elevated level of clinical competence.
ACCOUNTABILITIES

Education: Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Must be a certified EMT-Paramedic in the state of Ohio. Michigan licensure acquired within thirty (30) days of hire.
Skills: Must maintain current knowledge in area of expertise through self-directed education and participation in formal and continuing education. Must maintain specialty certification and/or credentials. Must have excellent communication, organizational and writing skills.
Years of Experience: Five (5) years’ experience as an EMS Provider.
License: State of Ohio Paramedic, State of Michigan Paramedic.
Certification: Level I EMS state of Ohio instructor or must actively work to obtain within six (6) months of hire.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Education: One (1) year of teaching experience. One year as a PTN Paramedic.
