The starting pay range for this position per hour is $25.00 - $27.00. The full pay range for this position per hour is $25.00 - $42.50

Expertsofoperations, process and efficiency who enable a consistent experience for our guests by ensuringproductis set,merchandised and available, accurately priced and signed on the sales floor. The General Merchandise and Food Sales team leads inbound, outbound, replenishment,and promotional signing processes for allGeneral Merchandise (GM)areas of the store.This team also leads inventory accuracy, merchandise set-upand pricing processes for all areas of thestore. ThisteammayleadFood & Beverage and Food Service, providing a fresh and food safe experience. Experts enable efficient delivery to our guests by owning pick,packand ship fulfillment work.

  • Guest service fundamentals and experience building a guest-first cultureonyour team

  • Retail business fundamentals,includingdepartment sales trends, inventory management, guest shopping patterns,pricingand promotions strategies 

  • Leadinga team by planning department(s) daily/weekly workload to support business priorities and deliver salesgoals

  • Leadingprocess improvements and workload efficiency 

  • Leading a team of hourly team members,including skills in interviewing, developing, coaching,evaluatingandretainingtalent.

  • Coachingand traininghourly team membersto build a team, with direction from your direct leader.

As an OffsiteGeneral MerchandiseTeam Leader, no two daysare ever the same, but a typical daymost likelywillinclude the following responsibilities:

  • Consistently deliver guest experience commitments to create an Easy, Inspiring and Friendly guest experience.

  • Ensures every team member understands, is trained, and consistentlydelivers onTarget’s guest experience commitmentsand consistent operations.

  • Actively observes and provides feedback, holding team members accountable while recognizing great guest experience moments.

  • Reviews area guest, financial, and team outcome metrics toidentifyopportunities,takes actions to improve, andaligns team on the right behaviors and execution, celebrates wins, drives results that deliver outcomes and elevates the guest experience.

  • With your direct leader's guidance,assistwith and lead the daily execution of tasks such as receiving products, restocking shelves, organizing the backroom, arranging merchandise, and putting up promotional signs for GM areas.

  • With your direct leader's guidance, help with the execution of processes in inventory accuracy, merchandise set-up and maintenance and pricing for all areas of the store.

  • With guidance from yourdirectleader, educate your team on how operational procedures, such as setting up and organizing merchandise, managing product stock levels, andmaintainingsales floor areas, affect inventory management, store profitability, and product availability.

  • Be an expertofoperations, accuracy,processand efficiency.

  • Assign daily tasks to TMs based on planned workload and guest traffic patterns, ensuring alignment with weekly and monthly business priorities set by yourdirectleader.

  • With guidance fromyour direct leader,establishclear goals and expectations and hold team members accountable to expectations.

  • Responsiblefor collaborating with all teams and leaders (including closingteam) toidentifykey priorities and ensure the store is guest ready in alignment with yourleaders'direction.

  • Evaluate candidates for open positions and develop a guest-centric team.

  • Responsible for the transportation, preparation,loadingand unloading ofproductto and fromanoffsitestorage locationin a safe and efficient manner.This includes being compliant with all relevant DOT regulations.

  • Responsible for all required paperwork from vehicle to the offsite suchas Billof Ladinganddriver vehicle inspection report.

  • Execute established offsite best practices and ensure safety and security processesare up to standards including backroom, equipment, powered equipmentcertificationand warehousedriver certifications.

  • Ensure all backroom offsite processes are executed properly, backroom offsite organization and location accuracy aremaintainedand supplies are in-stock and readily available to the team driving greatmerchandiseavailabilityto grow sales.

  • Ensure thevehicleused fortransportation to and from the offsiteismaintainedto ensure safe operation and followsdesignated routesestablishedbyStoreDirector for maximum efficiency.

  • Pull,organizeand store reserveproductcorrectlyto ensure backroom location accuracy, promote teamsafetyand prevent product damage.

  • Ensure proper equipment certification requirements are followed andmaintained.

  • Ensure all internal and federally required training, certifications, and documentationiscompleted for all Offsite Drivers.

  • Helpensure consistent team communication and follow-up on daily roles and responsibilities.

  • As aleader,followand modelall safe and secure training and processes.

  • Demonstrateinclusivity by valuing diverse voices and approaches,being authentic and respectful, and creatingequitableexperiences.

  • Demonstrate a culture of ethical conduct,safetyand compliance;lead team to work in the same way and hold others accountabletothis commitment.

  • Lead anddemonstratea safety culture through modeling and recognizing safe behaviors,identifyingand correcting hazards, holding team accountable to following safety expectations,assistingwith incident response, and reporting/investigating injuriestimelyand accurately.

  • Model the execution of physical security processesin order toenhance the instore security culture.

  • Support merchandise protection strategies across the total store,including ordering, storage and application as directed by best practices.

  • Lead anddemonstratea culture of executing all best practices as outlined with team onboarding and learning;help close skill gaps through development,coachingand team interactions.

  • If applicable, as a key carrier, follow all safe and secure training and processes.

  • Occasionally assume store-level leadership on duty (LOD) responsibilities to enable the guest experience for the store during assigned shifts based on store needs

  • Addressall store and offsite emergency and compliance needs.

  • All other dutiesbasedon business needs.

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Age18 or older

  • Previousretail experience preferred, but notrequired

  • Lead and hold others accountable

  • Communicate on multiple frequency devices andoperatehandheld scanners, and other technology equipment as directed

  • Work independently and as part of a team

  • Manage workload and prioritize tasks independently

  • Capability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment andaccomplishmultiple tasks within establishedtimeframes

  • Welcoming and helpful attitudetoward all guests and other team members

  • Effective communication skills

  • Capable of working in and exposure to varying temperatures, humidity, and other elements while performing certain job duties including but not limited to Drive-Up, carryout, etc.

  • Ability to remain mobile for the duration of a scheduled shift (shift length may vary).
